Campo Viejo Winemaker’s Blend (Episode 383)

We taste and review a wine blend created by the winemakers at the Spanish Campo Viejo brand which has been making wines since 1959.
The wine is made from a blend of Garnacha (Grenache) and Bobal grape.
The colour is a beautiful garnet-purple colour and very pleasing to the eye.
The nose is very pleasant with no obvious fruit being prevalent
On the taste, the cherry fruit comes through with a hint of strawberry sweetness also coming through.
A very pleasant taste indeed.
This wine would also take a light chill with Campo Viejo recommending a serving temperature of between 12 and 16 degrees C
