We taste a Merlot wine from France – La Colombe Merlot priced at £8:99
The colour is a very deep garnet.
On the nose, the wine has a great smell, with plenty of plum notes and with a slight smoky note also.
The taste was liked very much by both Johns.
The fruit and the plums hit you immediately and John M felt the wine was a good example of a Merlot.
