Australia Wine

McGuigan Reserve Merlot (Episode 398)

We taste a McGuigan Reserve Merlot all the way from Southeast Australia!

At £ 7.50 this wine is not, by any means, expensive for a bottle of wine.

The colour is burgundy red with an interesting nose.

John M detected rubber and leather and smelled very pleasant.

The mouthfeel was very silky, with the tannins falling away very quickly with the taste of strawberry flooding in.

This is unusual as one would normally expect to taste plum rather than strawberry with Merlot.

The length is particularly good for a bottle of wine that only costs £7:50
