Portuguese Wine

Feuerheedrd’s Anchor Wine DMFC Reserva from the Douro wine Region (Episode 312)

We review a fantastic Portuguese red wine produced in the same area, the Douro Region, where the grapes for Portugals Internationally renowned Port are grown, the Feuerheedrd’s Anchor Wine.

The colour is a very very dark garnet.

The nose is very different from so many wines, full of dark red fruit smells together with a touch of spice, just a lovely wine to smell.

This wine commands respect.

Rich and fruity with an almost chocolatey richness to it, with great oak overtones and perfectly balanced tannins.

Although it is £11:00 this wine is well worth the price and could easily be passed off as more expensive wine.
