McGuigan Estate Merlot Wine Review (Episode 371)

We taste a wine that is available throughout the world McGuigan’s Merlot purchased here in the UK for £5:10

The colour is quite translucence and a slight tawny colour.

On the nose, the wine is disappointing, being just flat and very difficult to identify any fruits at all.

Tastewise there is more taste than was detected on the nose.

Compared to other Merlots we have reviewed the wine is very thin, hardly any length without any complexity.

Even at the price point of £5:10, we were very disappointed.

In fact, we would not want to offer this wine to any of our friends.

Sadly this received one of the lowest scores we have ever awarded.
