Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc (Episode 269)

Following our review of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Mr Goosebum left a comment to say he preferred Brancott Estate Sauvignon to the Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc.

So, having not reviewed the Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc we thought we would see if we agreed with Mr Goosebum.

It has a light straw colour with a golden hue.

The nose is full of apple and John M managed to get a nettle smell and John L managed to get melon.

On the palate, the wine isn’t as acidic as the smell suggested it might be.

In fact, it is very smooth. It has that crisp juicy apple taste and is very refreshing.

We decided we could not determine which Sauvignon blanc we preferred without doing a back-to-back taste of the two together – we look forward to doing that in the near future.
