In this episode, we taste a Shiraz from the Jacob’s Creek label that has been matured in whisky barrels.
The colour of this Shiraz is a great deep red.
On the nose, it has lots of black fruit aromas with a hint of spice.
On the palate, the wine has a lovely smooth velvety feel and the taste has a great length.
John M felt this was a great example of a Shiraz.
We couldn’t really detect the taste of whisky, but John L wasn’t quite sure if he could detect whisky on the nose.
A great wine to sit down with and enjoy!
This wine is, in our view, worth the £12:00 it retails at.
