Elegant Frog Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Review (Episode 332)

We taste Elegant Frog’s Malbec in this episode from the most famous wine-producing country – France.

Elegant Frog state that they have produced this wine in the “new world Style” from Malbec grape (55%) and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (45%).

The colour is a lovely ruby colour with a purple rim.

John M could immediately smell the wine even before putting up to his nose, so powerful was the bouquet.

We even invented a new phrase for it – quite a bit of reach!

He also detected a smokey note to the wine. John L considered the length that the taste lasted (length) to be very short even given that it is a £8:00 bottle of wine.

Whilst this was not ideal wine for John M he felt many other people would enjoy it.

In terms of pairing with cheese John M thought it would pair well with a French cheese – Comte.

John L felt this would pair well with simply cooked red meat, such as Fillet steak or Venison, which was served without sauce.
