Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes Cali Red Wine (Episode 322)

We have the pleasure of tasting 19 Crimes Cali Red endorsed by the famous rapper Snoop Dogg.

19 Crimes wines normally emanate from Australia but given that Snoop Dogg is seen by 19 Crimes as the modern-day rascal equivalent of those who were deported from the UK to Australia for committing one of 19 crimes, they have created a blend from wines produced in California.

The first thing to come to John L’s attention was the price a whooping £24.99

The colour is a deep red with a purple rim with a slight tawny hue to it.

The nose is immensely powerful with plenty of blackcurrant and pepper coming through.

In fact, John L describes the smell as lush!

It has a great silky mouthfeel and a slightly smoky taste influence over the top of the fruit.

This would be an absolute corker of a wine if it were priced around £15, but both John’s felt it was overpriced at £25, which they reflected in the score they gave this wine.

If however, if you are a fan of Snoop Dogg, we are sure you would want to keep a bottle of this in your cupboard.
