In this episode, we try to find some good quality wines for under or around the £6 mark which are freely available in UK Supermarkets.
In the first part of the episode, we taste a Castellore Blanc de Blancs wine from Italy and available from the Aldi chain of supermarkets at the fantastic bargain price of £5.49
To the sight, the wine looks to be pale straw in colour with a slightly green hue.
On the nose, the wine has a refreshing peachy and apricots aroma.
On the palette, the taste was of crisp green apple, citrus and pear drops.
The wine’s acidity balance is also excellent and whilst one would not say it is a complex wine it is fantastic value.
