Most Wanted – Pinot Noir (Episode 209)

In this episode, we taste a Pinot Noir produced in New Zealand by Most Wanted Wines.

It was purchased from Sainsbury’s for £10.00

New Zealand normally produces some great Pinot Noir so we were interested to see how this one compared.

This particular Pinot Noir was very light in colour or put another way very translucent.

On the nose or if you prefer the scent of the wine was again very light and didn’t have those earthy notes that many Pinot Noir wines have.

The taste was very light, a little cherry taste, quite juicy, with a hint of tobacco.

The conclusion we came to was that this was not the best Pinot Noir we had ever tasted but was a “nice” wine.
