What a terrific wine, especially given how competitively priced it is!

Tasting a Padthaway Shiraz (South Australian) (Episode 101 Part 1)

Following on from our last episode in which we taste three Beaujolais we now taste three Shiraz wines all from South Australia

The first of these is from the UK retailer Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Range.
The “nose “ was promising with blackcurrant and black cherry “notes”.
However, the taste was not quite as strong as the nose suggested it would be.
This wine, therefore, would make an ideal start for someone who has not tried a Shiraz as it was not as “full on” as some Shiraz wines might be.

Cuvee Des Vignerons Beaujolais (Episode 100 – Part 2)

In part 2 of this episode, we taste a Cuvee Des Vignerons Beaujolais.

This impressed us a little less than the Beaujolais in part 1 of this episode.

A good table wine but not one of John’s favourites!

Maybe we drank it a little past it’s best?

Marks & Spencer Beaujolais Wine Tasted (Episode 100 Part 1)

We taste a great Beaujolais from Marks & Spencer in this Part 1 of our 100th Episode!

John L started this journey with John M’s guidance only being able to choose one wine in a shop or restaurant that he was confident that he would enjoy, a Beaujolais! So it is apt that we return to the begging of John’s journey in this our 100th episode.

In this part of the episode, we taste a wine made exclusively for the UK retailer Marks and Spencer in 2016.

This wine has been produced from 45-year-old vines so hopefully will provide some great tasting notes.

Beaujolais Wine Tasting (Episode 100) Introduction

We introduce our 100th episode where we turn full circle!

We taste some Beaujolais wine which was John L’s favourite red when he began this journey with his mentor John M.

It was the only wine John L could rely on not to disappoint when ordering either in a restaurant or off the shelf in a wine store.

Following the training being given by John M, will John L still think of Beaujolais wine as his number one choice?
